VIDEO GAMES

'You fit me better than my favourite sweater,'- LANA DEL REY, BLUE JEANS
Lana Del Rey is my favourite singer. The amount of songs she has written is seemingly endless, and this jumper reminded me both of the graphics of an old-school video game, but also of Lana Del Rey's unusual vintage style, both in her music and her clothes. For example, her Vogue Italia shoot. So this article is titled after one of my favourite of Lana Del Rey's singles 'Video Games'. I'm again finding myself combining various styles here. The jumper is 80s style, and I paired it with a short-sleeved shirt, letting the collar just peep over the top. My mum kept commenting 'Oh , this is what I would have worn in the 80s!'! It's also very warm, which is handy for an English February.
However, the style was slightly changed with these 60's-style round tortoiseshell sunglasses. I just think that they're really cool , and imagine wearing them with a pencil skirt, heels and a shirt, a-la Jessica Chastain in 'The Help'. Then I paired them with cheetah print creepers, for an edgier look.

Or you could go for these Miss Selfridge trainers, to modernise things a little.
Don't forget the earrings- hooped ones add another 80s twist!
